Eunice E Howell

Funeral Services for Eunice E. Howell, 81 of Lawton will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday March 29, 2018 in the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral home chapel, Pastor Jim Roberts will officiate.

Burial will follow the service at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder, OK

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m of Wednesday March 28, 2018 and will last until just prior to her service on Thursday.

Eunice was born on August 10, 1936 to Virgil and Mattie Atchison.  Eunice was born at home in rural Kiowa county about twenty miles north of Snyder.  Eunice attended the School for the Blind in Muskogee, OK.  After her education she returned home.  Her family moved from Snyder to Lawton.  Eunice worked as a cashier at the Comanche County Courthouse for many years.  She enjoyed talking on the phone to her family and friends and having game and detective shows on the television.

She is survived by her life partner and spouse, Carl Sheppard of the home.  Her sons: Terry Howell and his wife Cheryl  and Kelly Howell , both are from Lawton.  Her brother: Virgil Atchison and his wife Beverly of Texas.  Her sister: Virgie Tiller and her husband James of Texas.  Her four grandchildren: Staci Howell of Lawton, OK, Cheri Zavala and her husband Austin of California, T-Bo Howell of Lawton, OK and Shawn Howell of Lawton, OK.  She has fourteen great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her parents. Her son, Charlie Howell, Her brother Roger Atchison and her sisters: Joyce McCaig, Wanda Crab and Faye Sheppard.
