Gloria Jean Douglas

Gloria Jean Douglas was the first child born to the late Bertha L. Dowdy
and Carol Roe Douglas on 16 December 1951 in Ardmore, OK.  Gloria was
a proud member of the graduating class of 1970 from Ardmore High
School.  She perfected her sewing skills…making several dresses and outfits
for herself, daughters and nieces.  As we all know she loved to cook and eat
…each dish had that Gloria Jean special touch.  Gloria has always been
involved in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 41-10
Gloria graduated from Oklahoma University with a degree in Child Development and move from Ardmore to Lawton where she was employed as a child care provider/specialist and security for the NCO Club.
Gloria leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters WynathelDouglas of Shreveport, LA and Selena F. Douglas of Fort Worth, TX. Her grandchildren, De-Quita Douglas, Precious Edwards, Tiarra Jessie, and Que'Shawn Pernell, and 6 great grandchildren. Siblings; Dwight F. Osborne, Darlene M. Green (Wendell) of Oklahoma City, OK; Doris L. Osborne, Rheua Nell Green, of Lawton, OK; Marcella R. Bowie of Port Arthur, TX; Michelle D. Hurd (Michael) of Desoto, TX; Karen Batts of Fort Worth, TX; Donna K. Horton (Ricky), Ellis Douglas, James Douglas, Juanita Douglas, Carolyn Moore, and Earlene Douglas all of Ardmore, OK, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Cynthia K. Scott, Lupe Joyce Douglas, and Denise Douglas, three brothers Carol Douglas Jr., Keary P. Douglas, and Carl R. Osborne, and one grandson Donavon A. Lewis.
