Gregory Brewer

Gregory Randolph Brewer, Sr., SFC (Retired) passed away on May 2, 2023 at his home in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 62

Greg was born on August 31,1960 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Joy and Richard Brewer. He was beloved by his many siblings: Lisa, Cindy, Gretchen, and Doug. His family made their home in many places across the country. He went to high school at Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL. 

In 1985, Greg enlisted in the United States Army and served for 22 years. During his time in the military, he was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Iraq. In 1989, he married Mary, and they raised four children. Greg was a son, brother, husband, father, soldier, and a friend. He will be greatly missed, and he will always be loved. 

Greg is preceded in death by parents and his sister, Lisa Ward. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Brewer; his children Sarah Kirby (Charlie), Norman, OK;  Gregory Brewer, Jr., Oklahoma City, OK; Virginia Brewer (Carissa Flynn), FE Warren, Cheyenne, WY; Samuel Brewer, (Jaime Lopez-Acosta), Laurence Harbor, NJ; two grandchildren, Briar Rose Brewer and Rodrigo Brewer; his siblings Cindy Brewer in (Casey), East Peoria, IL, Gretchen Steff (Jason) Bartonville, IL, and Doug Brewer, East Peoria, IL; his brother-in-law, David Ward, Farmington, IL, and several nieces and new others. 

Services will be held at 3 pm on May 7 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to the Wounded Warrior Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
