Gregory Wayne Hicks

Memorial service for Gregory Wayne Hicks, 57 of Fletcher, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the School House Slough Park at Lake Lawtonka. 

Greg passed away on Monday July 16, 2018 in Elgin. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Greg was born on July 2, 1961 in Manteca, California to Earl Loyal Hicks and Shirley (Medlock) Hicks. As a child he grew up in Apache and later moved to Fletcher where he met his wife of 36 years, Paula (Monroe) Hicks. He started his painting career in a family business with his dad, and later worked as a Civil Servant for the Department of Defense for over 25 years. 

Greg's hobbies included stock car racing, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids whom he loved dearly, Tessa and Tyler. 

Greg is survived by his two daughters, Amanda and husband Mark Wilson, of Lawton, and Ashley Hicks, of Fletcher; his grandson, Tyler Knight, and his granddaughter, Tessa Groff, both of Fletcher; father, Earl Hicks, of Cyril, two brothers, Loyal Hicks, Jr and his wife, Tammy, of Cyril, and Mike Hicks, of Anadarko; mother and father in law, Bernice and Thomas Monroe, of Fletcher; sisters in law, Connie and husband Greg Ledford, Angie and husband Jimmy Rowe, of Ardmore; special friends, So-So, of Elgin, and Keith and Susan Blackburn, of Fletcher; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Hicks, and his mother, Shirley Hicks.
