Harold Dean Knight

Memorial service for Harold Dean Knight will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David McCracken of New Life Assembly of God Church in Cache, Oklahoma officiating. 

Harold passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Harold was born on November 20, 1928 in Bokchito, Oklahoma.  He  moved to Lawton to live with his Aunt.  Harold married Doris Garrett on December 9, 1950 in Lawton. He worked for H.E. Solomon insulating houses, and owned his own fence building business for 30 years.  He enjoyed watching horse racing, and owned several race horses of his own. Whenever he wasn't working, he loved cruising country roads and having cookouts with his beloved family.

He is survived by his son, Steve Knight, of Lawton, OK; three sisters and brother in law, Margie Andrews, of Bennington, OK, Sue Meadors, of Bryan, TX, and Judy and Eddie Barbee, of Walters, OK; eight grandchildren, Bobbie Ann Groh, of Tacoma, WA, Jamie Knight, Kelley Knight, Brandon Marshall, Justin Knight, Stacey Blashock, J.P. Knight, and Kevin Knight, all of Lawton, OK; eighteen great grandchildren; special friend and niece, Cindy Trammell; and many other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris (Garrett) Knight; his three sons, Bobby Knight, Jackie Knight, and Gary Knight; his brother, Bob Knight; and his sister, Joyce Knight.
