Hilma Henry

Graveside service for former Lawton resident, Hilma Henry, 85, of The Woodlands, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, OK.

God took her on her Heavenly journey to be with her husband, James and her son, David on Monday, September 19, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Hilma was born on February 18, 1937 in Poland to Fleadleca and Alma (Pehlca) Stenzel . The family fled to Germany during the war and resided there for many years. She met the love of her life, James Henry  and they married in 1959 in Switzerland, coming to Lawton in 1963 where they remained. Mr. Henry passed away in March of 2011. In 2016, Mrs. Henry moved to The Woodlands to be near her daughter and her family where she remained until her passing.  

She is survived her daughter and son in law, Sabina and Scott Schweinsberg, of The Woodlands, Texas; her grandchildren, Samantha Schweinsberg, Greenville, SC and Courtney Schweinsberg, of the Woodlands, Texas; and her sister, Waltraut Reische, of Germany.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James M. Henry; and her son, David Henry.
