Janice Sue (Wimple) Schermerhorn

Janice S. (Wimple) Schermerhorn, 70 of Lawton, OK passed away on Wednesday May 16, 2018 in Oklahoma City.  Funeral services for her will be held at a later date.

Janice was born on December 9, 1947 in Lawton, OK to Clarance and Mary Wimple.   She grew up in Lawton and attended Lawton Senior High School.  She was a loving mother and devoted Grandmother.  In her younger days she enjoyed camping and bowling.  In her leisure time she liked to knit, crochet, and cook.  She collected Winnie the Pooh characters and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James of the home.  Her son, Dale Shelley of Tacoma, WA.  Her daughter and son in law, Cassandra Main and her husband Eugene of Arlington, WA.  Her grandchildren: Mykayla Shelley of Tacoma, WA, Gianna Adkins and her husband Tyler of Tacoma, WA, Billy Main of Arlington, WA and Keagan Main of Arlington, WA.  Her great grandson Grayson Rush of Tacoma, WA and a soon to be born great grandchild who will arrive in November.  She also leaves behind her beloved four legged fur baby, Sophie.

She is preceded in death by parents and her brother Billy D-Wayne Wimple.
