Jaron Wesley Curry, 41, of Grandfield, OK passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, in Wichita Falls, TX.
Funeral services for Jaron will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Grandfield with Rev. Micky Miller officiating. Interment will be at the Grandfield Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Gray Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Jaron was born March 27, 1981, in Wichita Falls, TX to James William “Dub” and Bobbie Carolyn (Gray) Curry. He lived in Electra, TX until 1987 when the family moved to Archer City, TX. Jaron became a Cub Scout in 1988, later achieving Life Scout in 1998 and graduating from Archer City High School in 1999. He and Jenifer Lynn Palmer married on May 29, 2010, in Grandfield, OK where they made their home. After 13 years at Amsco Steel, Jaron made many lifelong friends; then he found his second home for the past eight years at Foundation Automotive Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Wichita Falls where he was a beloved member of the Foundation family as New Car Sales Manager. Jaron had many hobbies which included buying and selling guns and knives (mostly buying), fishing, hunting and off-roading on his side-by-side, side by side with Jen. He was also very active in community theater in his hometown of Archer City at the Royal Theater where he played many colorful characters, the most memorable being “Coot” the barber. Jaron was a member of Scotland Baptist Church, where he was baptized at 12 years old, and later attended Grandfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jenifer Curry; his parents, Dub and Bobbie Curry of Wichita Falls, TX; his father-in-law, Danny Palmer of Apache, OK; his sister, Latisha “Tish” Beaver and her husband Michael of Wichita Falls, TX; seven nephews, Austin Palmer and his wife Rylee, Trenton Palmer, Chris Beaver, Aaron Beaver, Wil Beaver, Grayson Eaves, and Weston Eaves; his brother-in-law, Ryan and his wife Seberiana of Apache, OK; and his beloved fur babies, Furby and Macy.
Jaron is preceded in death by his Meme and Grandaddy, Bob and Fran Curry; his Moma Faye and Papa John Dodson; his mother-in-law, Janet Palmer; his brother-in-law, Danny Palmer Jr.; and his uncle, Lynn Gray.
