Graveside service for former Lawton resident, Jimmie Opal Bradley, 99, of Arab, Alabama will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Doug Roberts officiating.
Mrs. Bradley passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at her home in Arab, Alabama.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Viewing will be on held Friday, March 9 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Opal was born on December 20, 1918 in Denton, Texas to J.K. and Clara (McKinney) McCollum. Mrs. Bradley retired in May of 1981 after 38 years of teaching. She loved teaching and was remembered by many of her students as a wonderful teacher. Mrs. Bradley had lived in the Arab area since 1995.
Mrs. Bradley is preceded in death by her husband, M.T. "Brad" Bradley.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Marlin "Tom" and Connie Bradley, of Arab, Alabama; her sister, Anna Lou Roberts, of Frederick, Oklahoma. She was a beloved "Memaw" to four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
