Jo Crystal Pittman

Graveside service for former Lawton resident, Jo Crystal Pittman, 85 of Cleburne, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robert Weger, pastor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. 

Mrs. Pittman passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Jo was born on May 24, 1932 in Gainesville, Texas to Walter C. and Eliza (Hannon) Funk. She grew up in the North Texas area where she attended school. She married SFC William Pittman in 1968 and they lived in Lawton for many years. Mr. Pittman passed away on April 12, 2002 in Lawton. Mrs. Pittman was a homemaker and attended Bible Baptist Church. She moved to Cleburne, Texas in February 2016 to be near her sister. Jo loved to crochet and sew and enjoyed making hats for her friends and family.  

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Steve and Shari Smith, of Balch Springs, Texas; two daughters and sons in law, Beth Smith Bell and Clayton Bell, Jr., of Florence, Texas, and Belinda and Joseph Gannon, of Titusville, Florida; her sister, Audrey M. James, of Cleburne, Texas; five grandchildren, Delsie Garner, Crystal Ann Stevenson, James Ray Dodson, Krista Woods, and Stephanie Wilson; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Pittman; one son, Royal Arthur Pittman; two brothers, Herman Funk, Frankie Funk; and her sister, Mattie Walker.
