Joe Edd Cook, Sr.

Funeral service for Joe Edd Cook, Sr., 86, of Grandfield, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Grandfield with Joe Cook, Jr, officiating. 

Burial will be at Grandfield Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, OK. 

Mr. Cook passed away on November 14, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 
 
Joe Edd was born April 15, 1935 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to James W. Cook and Nora Lee (Williams) Cook, He grew up in Grandfield where he attended school. He married Anna Lee Hartsell May 28, 1955. Joe served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. He worked civil service as an Aircraft Electronic Technician, retiring after 32 years of dedicated service. 

Joe Edd was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jimmie Lee Briscoe; his brother, Demoin Cook; and his very best friend, Lee Woods.
 
He is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Hartsell Cook; his daughter, Debra Ann Mclain and husband Randy; his son, Joe Edd Cook Jr. and wife, Lynette; his grandchildren, Donette Coker and husband, Ben, Adrian Mclain, Jordan Mclain and wife, Heather, and Natalie Cook; his great grandchildren, Zeke, Eli, and Emma Coker, Selbie and Randlee Mclain, Annie, Max Oliver, and Gus Mclain, and a host of other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children and Youth programs at First Baptist Church of Grandfield.
