John Nunn

Graveside service for John Nunn, 84, of Lawton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma with Dr. Dale Linebaugh, pastor of Apache Cowboy Church officiating.  

Mr. Nunn passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at his home. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

John was born on March 22, 1935 in Leslie, Arkansas to John T. and Viola M. Nunn. He attended Chillicothe Illinois High School. John served 8 years in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma and worked for State Farm Insurance Company as a claims adjustor until his retirement in 1996.

Survivors include a brother, Hershel and wife, Barbara, of Casa Grande, Arizona; nieces and nephews, Bobbi Ison and Bill Shadley, of Saint Petersburg, FL and others in Illinois; his adopted family, Stacy and David Ortiz, Courtnie and Charlie Mowery and daughter, Aubrey, all of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Rhyanne and Chase Ketron and sons, Cooper, Graham, and Owen of Bentonville, AR, and Robert and Carrie Miracle and children, Lawson, Grace, and John, and Barbara Miracle, of Lawton, OK. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Loretta Shadley, brothers, Henry and Edsel; and his friend, Bill Miracle.
