Josie passed away at her home on Friday, December 14, 2018.
Josie was born on September 6, 1963 in Landshut, Germany to Loyd and Elisabeth Jenkins. Josie belonged to a military family that traveled a lot due to her father’s military service. At the age of twelve, Josie’s family finally settled in Columbus, GA. Josie married a Soldier herself and as an Army Spouse, she continued her travels. Josie relocated to Oklahoma in 2015 to live closer to her daughter and her family. Josie was a county Sheriff’s deputy in Georgia for over thirteen years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her four legged fur baby, Sasha. She also enjoyed listening to music, riding motorcycles, drinking coffee, cleaning and decorating her home, but the thing she enjoyed the most was playing with her Grandson.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law: Erika and Brian Montgomery of Cache, OK; her grandchildren: Brison Montgomery of Cache, OK and Breanna Montgomery of Gatesville, TX; her sister and brother in law: Ruby and Troy Ellis of Tacoma, WA and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her two daughters: Monique Reid and Heidi Kalani, and her grandson Braeden Montgomery.
