Julie L. Thompson

Memorial service for Julie L. Thompson, 44, of Lawton will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Teel, pastor officiating.

Julie passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Lawton. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Julie was born on June 18, 1973 in Washington, Indiana to Kenneth and Linda (Horning) Purdue. Her father was in the military so they lived in many different states, coming to Lawton in 1979, then to Germany, returning to Lawton where she attended Eisenhower High School. In Julie's senior year, the family moved to Columbus, Georgia where she graduated from Carver High School in 1992. They returned to Lawton in 2006. She married Rick Thompson and they had a son together. Julie worked at Eisenhower High School for the past several years. She was a member of Cameron Baptist Church. Julie's greatest loves in life were Jesus, her son, Wyatt, her family, and her church. She will be missed by all who knew her.  

She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Linda Purdue, of Lawton; her son, Wyatt Thompson, of the home; her sister and brother in law, Sherry and Josh Cargill, of Lawton, Ok; her aunts and uncles, Evelyn and Brad Hines, Carolyn and Jim Angel, Kathy and Alan Norris, Anna and Mike Cornelius, and Mary Williams; numerous cousins including Kailyne Paris and Gabrielle Paris; and a host of loving friends. 

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruth and Manford Norris and Eleanor and Alvin Purdue.
