June R. Forgy

Graveside service for June R. Forgy, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023 at Highland Cemetery, Lawton, OK with Minister Harley Davidson of Western Hills Church of Christ officiating. 

Mrs. Forgy went to be with Lord on Nov. 10, 2023 in Wichita Falls, TX. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

June was born on October  7, 1942 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Jack and Louise (Keller) Kindred. She married Dana Forgy on November 23, 1961 and they lived in Lawton. Mr. and Mrs. Forgy  celebrated 61 years together in 2022. They shared a special love few people are lucky enough to experience.

June gave her life to Jesus at a young age, and remained a faithful servant her entire life. She worked at Security National Bank for 40 years where she met many lifelong friends. Her true passions were her husband, family, and faith. She loved to read books, play “Jeopardy!” and cook. 

She is survived by her daughters and a son in law, Amber Cole and Ashley and Chad Konermann; her sisters, Fonda Smith, Jackie O'Connor and husband Jerry; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Cole, Cady Cole, Aidan Cole, Aaron Look, Jake Konermann and Grace Konermann; five great-grandchildren; and her sister in law, Doris Newsom.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dana Forgy; and brother in law, Ronald Forgy.
