Karen D Ferguson

Memorial service for Karen D. Ferguson, 66, of Grandfield, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Grandfield with Rev. Micky Miller, pastor officiating.

Mrs. Ferguson passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 in Grandfield, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.

Karen was born on September 8, 1952 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Kenneth Dean and Minnie Lou (Watson) Whittington. She grew up in Grandfield where she graduated from high school in 1970. She married Aubrey L. "Sonny" Ferguson on November 5, 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  They lived for a while in Burkburnett, Texas where Karen worked for Perkins Department Store. They later returned to Grandfield and Karen Worked  at Schegles Factory and later at Texoma Supply and Grandfield Sale Barn. She later worked at the Senior Citizen's Center, Walmart, and the Comanche Red River and Kiowa Casino's. Karen enjoyed fleamarkets, crafting, making blankets, and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, of 47 years, Aubrey, of the home; her son, Alan Ferguson and Jessica Martinez, of Grandfield, OK; two daughters and a son in law, Audra and Brian Skaggs, of Lexington, OK and Karrie Digges, of Broken Arrow, OK; two brothers and a sister in law, Doyle and Beckie Whittington, of Grandfield, OK and Clinton Whittington, of Wichita Falls, TX; two sisters and brothers in law, Pat and Ron Hargis, of Yukon, OK and Kim and John Reigherts, of Hickory Creek, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Jarrin Ferguson, Merit Skaggs, Jhett Skaggs, Kylie Ferguson, Bentley Ferguson, Landon Wigdon, Bailee Bonofiglio, Olivia Digges, and Jase Ferguson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunts and uncles;  and her nephew, Jason Hargis.
