Kathy was born on December 3, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Thomas and Anna "Bonnie" Vonteen (Davidson) Nichols. She grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma where she attended MacArthur High School. She married and to that union her son, Cody was born. Kathy moved to Texas and later lived in Duncan, Oklahoma. She moved to Lawton where her daughter, Kendall was born. She married Larry Smith in March of 2017. She returned to Duncan and in April of 2021, she moved to Ada, Oklahoma. Kathy graduated from Soar, a sober living home, on March 15, 2022. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and could play a mean game of Dominoes. She wouldn't turn down the chance to travel to new places (ideally a place where she would have the opportunity to see a dolphin), and could make anyone laugh with her silly sense of humor. Kathy was a lover of music, with her favorites being Johnny Cash, George Strait, and ACDC.
She is survived by her son, Cody Nichols, of Texas; her daughter, Kendall Renee Harris, of Duncan, OK; her brother, Ronnie Younts, of Duncan, OK; her sisters and brothers in law, Anna Marie and Frank Vosburgh, of Duncan, OK; Alea "Lisa" Vonteen and Dusty Mason, Peggy Sue and Chet Chase, and Sandy and Doug Lasley, all of Lawton, OK; and numerous Nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Raygan Harris; her brothers, Johnny Ray Davidson and Bobby Charles Younts; and her twin sisters, Liz and Lou.
