Kenneth Merle Dorrell

Kenneth Merle Dorrell, 81, died at home on November 10, 2021 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

He was born on June 9, 1940 in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Trueman and Pearl Dorrell. He attended Woodrow Wilson, Central Junior High and graduated from Lawton High School in 1958. He graduated from Cameron University in 1989. He married Margaret (McMahan) Dorrell on September 23, 1963. They had one son, Jeffrey Dorrell born June 5, 1967. He also had one granddaughter, Kendra Dorrell, born March 31, 2001. 

He and his dad ran Gate 3 Alignment and then Gate 4 Alignment. Kenneth retired in 1990, after which he did volunteer work at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. 

He was an avid hunter. One of the most memorable hunting trips was with his friend, Bill Williams in Alaska.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Pete and Blanche McMahan.

He is survived by his wife, son, and granddaughter; all of the home; and many cousins and friends. 

As he wished to be cremated, no services will be held.
