Kenneth DeWitt Kirker

Memorial service for Kenneth Kirker,74, of Lawton, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. 

Mr. Kirker passed away on April 22, 2024. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Kenneth was born on March 15, 1950 to John and Virginia (McCoy) Kirker in Coshocton, Ohio. He graduated from Riverside High School and then joined the United States Army. Kenneth served three tours of duty in Vietnam, one tour in Korea, and three years in Germany.  Mr. Kirker was awarded many decorations and medals during his military career which included the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Second Oak Leaf Cluster, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Bars, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Sharpshooter award, Vietnam Service Medal with one Silver and one Bronze Service Star. Mr. Kirker also worked as a security officer for various companies. Kenneth married Kathleen Smith in Lawton, Oklahoma on June 5, 1993 and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. He enjoyed watching western television shows especially Gunsmoke. He liked muscle cars and owned a 1963 Camaro. 

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kirker; son, Mark Smith; daughters, Kimberly Furrh and husband G. Force Chamberlain, Kimberly Case, Nicole Kirker, and Sarah Judah; grandchildren, Joshua Young, Mikayla Furrh and Travis Ferron, Gwenith Judah, Alex Judah, Demi Case, Maxwell Judah, and Brock Smith; brother, John Kirker; and sister, Karen Avery.  

Mr. Kirker is preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Christy Harrell.
