Graveside service for Kun Ok Reed, 74, of Lawton, OK will be held on Monday July 13, 2020 at the Fort Sill Post Cemetery.
Kun Ok passed away on Friday July 3, 2020.
Kun Ok was born on August 24,1945 in Seoul, South Korea to Kim Kil Huyen and Chin Huyen Suk. Kun Ok attended school and grew up in Seoul. She graduated in 1966 from Sye La Bul, a famous art college in Seoul. She met her husband Charles Reed and they married June 15, 1976. Charles was a career soldier and Kun Ok was a devoted military spouse. After his retirement from the U.S. Army, Charles and Kun Ok settled in Lawton.
Although Kun Ok was quiet and reserved, she loved to share Jesus with everyone she met. She was an artist that loved to express her faith through drawing and painting. She had a servant's heart, ready to serve at all times, thinking of others and their needs. She loved her children and grandchildren and would have done anything for them.
She is survived by her daughters and sons in law: Jennifer and Tommy Kirkes of Lawton, OK and Kim and Sean Gradoz of Great Falls, MT; her youngest brother: Kim Young Kun of Seoul, South Korea; her sisters: Kun Son Sinks and her husband Joel of Prince George, VA and Kun Suk Shelton of Prince George, VA; her grandsons: Elijah Kirkes, Isaiah Kirkes and Brian Cassell.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles William Reed; her parents; and her brothers: Kim Chang Kun and Kim Song Kun.
