Kunigunda "Gunda" Traw

Funeral mass for Kunigunda "Gunda" Traw, 89, of Lawton will be at 9:00  a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church with  Rev. Phillip Seeton officiating. 

Burial will be at Post Cemetery at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Mrs. Traw died on Friday, May 3, 2019 in Lawton, OK surrounded by her loving family. 

Gunda was born on June 20, 1929 in Lisberg, Germany to  Baptist and Eva Schlicht.  She grew up in Germany where she attended school. She married Herman Traw in Bamburg, Germany. She became a true military spouse. After Herman’s retirement from the Army, the family settled in Lawton, OK.  Gunda worked as a registered dietitian for 30 years at Western Hills Nursing Home.

She is survived by her son, Gerhard Beck; two daughters; Tina Adams and Connie Niedermeier and her husband, Tony, all of Lawton, OK; her brother, Alvin Schlicht, of Lisberg, Germany; her sisters and their spouses,  Doris and Sunny Hill of CO, Susie Hill of LA, and Elizabeth and Daniel Madish of VA; her granddaughter, Lori Miller and her husband Daryl of Virginia Beach, VA; great grandson, Colton Miller, of Virginia Beach, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sisters,  Mardy Stadter and Irma Schlicht; her daughter in law, Sun Ki Beck; and her brother in law, John Hill.
