Funeral services for Dr. Larry A. Bell, 66 of Lawton, OK 
Will be at 1 P.M. on Saturday June 23, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church of Lawton.  Pastor Eddie Coast and Noel Alsbrook will officiate the service.

Dr. Bell passed away on Tuesday June 19, 2018 in Lawton, OK

Larry was born on March 18, 1952 in Wellington, TX to J.C. and Molly Mae Bell.  His family lived in Hollis, OK and later Amarillo, TX.   Larry graduated from Amarillo High School.    On November 20, 1968, Larry married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Linda.   After high school he attended Amarillo Junior College.  He then transferred to Texas Tech where he earned his bachelor’s degree.  While attending college; he worked as a master electrician.  He was accepted to medical school in Des Moines, IA.  From 1980 until 1985 he attended medical school and became a Doctor.  Right out of medical school; Dr. Bell served as a Captain in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, OK.  After three years of honorable service; Dr. Bell continued to work at Reynolds Army Hospital.  Dr. Bell retired from civil service on December 31, 2017.  In his younger years, Dr. Bell loved racing stock cars and always raced with his lucky number 42 painted on the side of his car.  He always enjoyed watching NASCAR on television.  He was a member of the Lawton Antique Auto Club and had recently purchased several vintage automobiles.  He was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church and was one of their ordained deacons.  He was a loving husband, wonderful father and a doting grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home.  His son Corey Bell of Frisco, TX.  His daughter Kami Hamman and her husband Mike of Lawton, OK.  His Granddaughter, Emily Ann Hall of Lawton, OK and his brother Dr. Jim Bell and his wife, Doris of Lindale, TX.  He also has 2 nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by parents.
