Larry Don Morton

Celebration of Life for Larry Don Morton will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Grandfield, Oklahoma with Rev. Daryl Perry officiating.

Services are under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25 at Gray Funeral Home.

Larry Don Morton passed away on May 14, 2022 at his home in Oklahoma City at the age of 73. He was born June 20, 1948 in Grandfield, OK to Oscar Bradley and Mabel Elizabeth (Eaton) Morton.

Larry grew up in Grandfield and graduated from Grandfield High School in 1967. Larry worked as a newspaper typesetter at the Lawton Constitution. He later began a career as a truck driver working many years for Dolese and was a truck owner/operator and contractor with Minick Materials at the time of his death.

Larry married Rebecca Elaine Freeman in Grandfield on August 2, 1969, and they were married for 52 years. They lived in Grandfield, Lawton, Walters, Elk City, Marlow, and Oklahoma City.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca; his daughters Emily McDaniel of Arlington, TX and Jennifer Morton of Oklahoma City; and 4 grandsons John and William McDaniel and Landen and Lennox Price-Morton.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jimmy Morton; and sisters Betty Croft, Sue Morrow, and Joyce Ross.
