Funeral service for former Tillman County resident, Leah Diann Erickson Koontz, 34, of Edmond, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Dawson, associate pastor First Baptist Church, officiating.

A special viewing and visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August, 20, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leah passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Burial will be at Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Leah was born on April 11, 1979 in Norman, Oklahoma to Terri Butler and Allen Conley Ferrell. She moved to Tillman County in 1981where she went to school at Tipton, Frederick and Davidson. During school she was active in Cheerleading, Basketball and FFA. Leah graduated from Davidson High School in 1998. She married David "Raven" Wissinger in Vernon, Texas in 1998. She later married Jeffrey Koontz on April 2004 in Watonga, Oklahoma. Leah had previously worked as a correctional officer in Watonga, a Sales and Tech Support for Dell in Oklahoma City, and  she also worked for Cox Communications, Sprint and Hertz. Most recently she was working  as a phone support technician for AT& T in Oklahoma City. She also lived in Jacksonville, Florida, Tyler, Texas and Houston, Texas.

She loved Roller Derby and riding motorcycles. She was proud of her tattoos and her piercing. She Lived, She Loved, She Laughed.

Leah is survived by her parents, Terri and Craig Erickson, of Tipton, Oklahoma, her brothers, Allen (Erickson) Ferrell, of Frederick and Alex "Ace" Erickson, of Tipton; her former husbands, Jeff Koontz and David Wissinger; her step children, Jacob Koontz, and Jessica Koontz, of Yukon, Oklahoma; her grandparents, Tom and Dixie Butler, of Duncan, Oklahoma, Jean Ballew Erickson of Virginia, Lief and Maureen Erickson, of Prescott, Arizona; her aunts and uncles, Sherri and Rob Griffin, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Leigh and Mike James of Cresent, Oklahoma , Tommy and Billie Butler, of Duncan, Oklahoma, Cathy and John Wild, of Moore, Oklahoma, and Steve and Kelly Erickson, of Smithfield, Virginia; her cousins, Kristin Archer, Nick Horton, Jennifer Briggs, Angela Butler, Joshua Butler, Christian Faith Majors, Nickole Schlegel, Logan James, Josh James, David Hanley, Glen Lea, Danny Lea, Jack Erickson, and Sophie Erickson, and a host of many special friends, including James Edward of Edmond, Oklahoma and Charli Martini of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Leah was preceded in death by her father, Allen Conley Ferrell, a sister, Cathy Lynn Ferrell, grandparents, Mahlon and Gloria Ferrell, great grandparents, Dwight and Sadie Butler, Roy and Allie Thomason, Ray and Catherine Lambert, Gene and Norma Jewell Ferrell, and cousins, Lacie Rae Horton, and Chad Hanley.
