Lela Mae "Sue" White

Lela Mae "Sue" White , 64, of Grandfield, OK, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, in Grandfield.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Grandfield High School Auditorium  with Rev. Johnny Moore pastor of Harrison Bethel Baptist Church, Spencer, OK, officiating,

Interment will be in the Grandfield Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, OK.

There will be a special visitation for family and friends from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Gray Funeral Home, Grandfield, OK.

Mrs. White was born December 28, 1954 in Hollis, OK, to Ernest Greer and Lessie Mae King. She was raised by Herbert KIng. She attended Hollis Elementary School. When she was in the 6th grade she moved to Grandfield Public Schools.   She married Paul L. White on May 1, 1985, in Vernon, TX. She was employed as a nurse tech at Colonial Village in Grandfield and later was a unit secretary at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls. She loved to travel, make quilts,  and take care of her family. Lela Sue was a foster mom and helped raise numerous children. She was a member of the Rising Star Baptist Church, where she was choir director, Mission President, and a Soloist.

Survivors are, her husband Paul White of the home, sons, Jerry White of Texarkana, TX,  Paul White Jr. and wife, Joyce of Ardmore, OK, Scottie Greer and wife Delta of Grandfield, OK, John Paul White and wife Tammy of Grandfield, OK, Marvin Wright and wife, Cherri of Bartlesville, OK, Earl White and wife Brenda of Oklahoma City, OK. Adrain Isolm of Tacoma, WA, Darius Greer and wife, Porsha of Oklahoma City, OK, Eric Dean and wife, Shawnta of Grandfield, OK,  Jermaine "Papa" White of Grandfield, OK.; daughters, Cora Lee and husband, Gary of Inglewood, CA, Paula Fuller and husband, Gary of Sacramento, CA, Dorothy Bell-White and husband Eddie of Colorado Springs, CO, Vernie Lee and husband Gerald of Savanah, GA, Darlene Muhammad of Wichita Falls, TX, Michelle Wilson of Wichita Falls, TX, Candi White of Grandfield, OK, Soneya  White, Grandfield, OK, Seneca Sanders-Theragood and husband, Jarred of Carlsbad, NM, Beverly Vaughn and husband, Desmond of Wichita Falls, TX, Yolanda Sanders and husband, Marcus of Shreveport, LA, Brenda Sanders of Shreveport, LA, Jamie Lynn White of Grandfield, OK, Jasmine White of Grandfield, OK, Brittany White of Grandfield, OK;  two brothers, Johnnie Greer and wife, Lisa of Meeker, OK; Manual Greer and wife, Carol of Oklahoma City, Ok; four sisters, Linda Jacobs of Oklahoma City, OK, Helen Moore of Oklahoma City, OK, Donna Ivery of Irving, TX; Sandra James-Brown and husband, Lawrence of Grandfield, OK; 68 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren.

Lela was preceded in death by her father, her mother, and three grandsons, Kewan Wilson, Zoe Lattin, and Devon Young.
