Lois "Elaine" Anderson

Word has been received of the passing of Lois "Elaine" Anderson, 68, of Lawton. 

To honor Elaine's wishes no services will be held at this time.   

Elaine passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Lawton. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.  

Elaine was born on December 27, 1949. She was raised in Western Springs, Illinois. She grew up in Illinois where she graduated from high school. She then attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and this is where she met Raymond Anderson in Bible class in 1967. They married in 1969 and to that union, Tamara "Tami" Anderson was born. Elaine lived in Southwestern Michigan and graduated with a bachelors degree from Bethel College. She worked for Whirlpool Corporation as a trainer for many years. When Tami moved to Lawton, Oklahoma, Elaine followed to be near her and made Lawton her home almost a decade ago.  She worked for City National Bank and later worked for Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She then worked for Martha Webb State Farm Insurance. Elaine was soft spoken and had a beautiful singing voice. She was kind and made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed sewing and made many gifts for her friends and family. She was loving and honest. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

She is survived by her daughter, Tami Anderson, of Lawton; and her mother, Charlotte Kitten, of Greenville, Ohio.  

She is preceded in death by her adopted parents, George Beverly and Irma (Scarfe) Shea.
