Funeral Services for  Mable Louise Higganbotham, 91 of Lawton will be held on Wednesday November 30th, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Cameron Baptist Church.  Pastor Mike Teel will officiate.

Visitation will be at the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral home.  Mable's visitation will begin Sunday November 27th, 2016 at 4 p.m.  Her visitation will continue on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

There will be a special visitation on Tuesday from 6- 8 p.m.

Mable will be interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery following her funeral service.

Mrs. Higganbotham passed away peaceful at her home on Friday, November 25th, 2016 November 25th, 2016.

Mable was born in Hulen , Oklahoma on January 15th, 1925 to Tom and Gertie Mae (Roof) Riley.  Mable grew up on the family farm which was east of Marlow, Oklahoma.  When she was not helping her family on the farm; she attended the Bray School.  

Mable meet the love of her life while traveling by bus from Lawton to Marlow.  On September 16th, 1944 Mable married Ed Higganbotham at the Baptist church in Troy, Kansas.

Throughout their 72 years of marriage; they have lived in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and several cities in Oklahoma.  Ed and Mable settled in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1964.  Mable was a homemaker.  When she was not attending to her children or her home; she enjoyed making clothing, sewing in general and quilting.  She was a Cub Scout den mother and taught Sunday School at Cameron Baptist church for many years.  Mable was a civil minded person and served as an election official in both Stephens and Comanche Counties.  She also had a fondness for animals and could often be found playing with and caring for the families pets.  Later in life she took great joy in spending time with and caring for her Grandchildren.

Mable is survived by her Husband, Ed.  Her son, Tom Higganbotham of Magnolia, TX.  Her daughter Nancy Ann and Son-in-Law Billy Paul Eakins of Elgin, OK.  Her brother, Pee Wee Riley of Marlow, OK.  Her Grandchildren: Billie Anne and Bob Whipp of Lawton, OK; Robert and Lisa Eakins of Elgin, OK; Janet and Nick Wiley of Elgin, OK; Clint and Melani Higganbotham of Longmont, CO and Tara and Eddie Mayes of Magnolia, TX.  She also has 11 Great Grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her dear and special friend, Erica Messer; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brother, Fat Riley and her sisters: Alta Shultz, Prue Thompson, Mary Barbee, and Elsie Faye Riley.
