Margaret Jeanne Allison

Funeral service for Margaret Jeanne Allison, 66, of Lawton will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Devon M. Reynolds officiating. 

Mrs. Allison passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. 

Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Margaret was born on December 26, 1954 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Robert and Margaret (Bertram) Wheeler. She grew up in Lawton where she attended school.  Margaret lived in many locations as a military spouse. She married John Allison in September of 1990 and she and John returned to Lawton after John's retirement from the Army. She enjoyed hiking, camping, gardening and anything outdoors. Margaret was a great cook. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings. She is a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. 

She is survived by her husband, John, of the home; two sons and daughters in law, Jason and Danielle McKee, of NC and James and Candace Allison, of PA; her daughter and son in law, Meg and Brian Wood, of Lawton, Ok; two brothers, Bobby Wheeler, of NV and Ronald Wheeler, of Lawton, OK; her sister, Kathy Beck, of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, William, Matthew, Ryan, Andrew, Victoria, PJ, Michael, Caleb Smith, Maggie Redman, and Wil Wood. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Roberta Hadley and her brother, David Wheeler.
