Maria Dal Pozzo Winn

Funeral service for Maria Dal Pozzo Winn, 83 of Lawton, OK will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the Lawton Ritter Gray funeral home chapel, Deacon Jim Hankins of Holy Family Catholic Church will officiate.

Maria was born on August 18, 1934 in Rotzo, Italy to Matteo and Dominica Dal Pozzo.   She met her husband Thomas Winn in Vicenza, Italy.  On September 29, 1959 Maria and Thomas married in Rotzo, Italy.  This began Maria's life as an Army spouse.  Due to her husband’s military service, they got to travel the world.  She and her family lived for many years in Germany.  After her husband’s retirement from the Army in 1977; they moved their family to Lawton, OK.   She was a devoted wife and loving mother.  In her leisure time she liked to crochet, cook, and spend time playing games at the casino.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters in law; Tom and Lynda Winn of Mineral Wells, TX and John and LaRetta Winn of Lawton, OK.  Her three daughters and sons in law; Lorena and Frank Bates, Donna and Bill Cameron and Ruby Winn and Ron Martinez, all of which reside in Lawton, OK.  Her sisters:Carla England of Highland Ranch, CO and Lidia Cunico of Rotzo, Italy.  Her grandchildren: Steven Nolan, Kyle Winn, Emma Martinez, Kevin Winn, Rylie Winn, Christopher Winn, Amber Winn, Melissa Young, Coulton Winn, Courtney Winn, Mateo Martinez and Madison Martinez.  Her great grandchildren: Samantha Holcomb, Adriana Fagon, Nathaniel Winn, Alyssia Miles, JayShawn Miles, Tyler Binns, Zenith Nolan, Logan Hester and Brayson Young.  She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Winn; her parents; her son, Roy Winn and her brothers: Giovanni and Onorio Dal Pozzo.
