Marieanne Mehring

Funeral service for Marieanne Mehring, 66, of Lawton, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 
 
On a Summer day, July 11, 1957, the world welcomed a shining soul named Marieanne, born in Frankfurt Germany, to her adoring parents, Maj. Charles E. and Maria Mehring.  

Marieanne’s final sun would set on September 7, 2023. 

Marieanne would spend her early years traveling, as her father continued to serve in the United States Army, but would spend her final days calling Lawton her home. Marieanne was the eldest daughter of the Mehring family, and from the beginning, her zest for compassion and caretaking would set the stage for being the caretaker for her entire family, until her last breath. Marieanne attended school at Eisenhower High in Lawton OK. In July of 1975, Marieanne married Michael Hibdon, and they had two beautifully wonderful children that Marieanne would spend every day doting over, as those boys were every piece of her heart. 

She is survived by her sons, Charles M. Hibdon and wife Michelle, and Nicolas R. Hibdon and wife Autumn. Her beloved canine children, PeeWee and Penelope. Grandchildren, Dylan, Ryley, Kasey, Alicia, Aliya Drake, Chloe and Ryan. Grand dogs Teddy and Rocky. Sisters, Becky E.Bloomer , Monika Heying and husband Butch, brother Charles E. Mehring. Nephews and Nieces  Robert C. Ayers wife Casey , Troy L. Ayers wife Erika,Hollie Ayers Vissepo ,Ethan Mehring , Jessica McDonald , Allison Murray , Maria Wermy , Jeffrey Karr . And numerous great nieces and nephews . 

Preceded in death by her mother and father , Maj. Charles and Maria Mehring, sister Francis Mehring Roseberry , great nephew Tyler J. Vissepo, and brother in law Robert ( Bob) Ayers.
