Funeral Mass for Marius B. Deasy, 79, of Lawton will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Philip Seeton,  officiating.

Mr. Deasy passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 in Lawton.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.  

Marius was born on February 6, 1938 in Galveston, Texas to Leo and Mary (Rohenkohl) Deasy.  He grew up in Lawton where he attended St. Mary's Catholic School. The family moved to Washington DC for a short period, returning to Lawton where he graduated from high school and later attended Cameron College. Mr. Deasy served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Lois Lyner on April 14, 1961 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lawton where he and Lois lived for 20 years. They then moved to Marietta, Oklahoma where Marius was commissioned as the Postmaster. Later he was the Postmaster of Comanche, Oklahoma while they lived in Marlow, Oklahoma for several years. They returned to Lawton in 2013. Mr. Deasy was active in many organizations to include being a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church as well as being a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He also ran the St. Vincent DePaul in Duncan for several years. He served as president of the Lions Club and was a very active member of the National Association of Postmasters. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois, of the home; his son Daniel Lee Deasy, of Palo Alto, CA; two daughters and a son in law, DeAnna Marie and Stephen Martin, of El Reno, OK, and Donna Jean Woida, of McKinney, TX; his sister, Theresa D. Reeping, of Silver Springs, MD; his sister in law, Brenda Deasy, of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Ethan Ray Martin, Hanna Marie Martin, Sarah Jean Martin, Madelyn Nicole Woida, Matthew Davis Woida; nieces and nephews, Gregory    Reeping, Tommy Reeping, Paul Reeping, Donald Reeping, Theresa Welch, Marie Englehart, Maureen Langtau, Cecilia Henderson, Ann Paniszczyn, Mary Gallagher, Kelli Riggins, Derek Duncan, James Michael Duncan, and Stephen Duncan; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.      

He was preceded in death his parents; his sister, Marian C. Duncan, his brothers in law, Harlston C. Duncan and Johnny Reeping, two nephews, Johnny Reeping and Timmy Reeping; and his brother, Lee Deasy who passed away within hours of Marius.
