Mumzy was an amazing woman. I’m so glad I got to know her and how awesome she was with Nick and just fun to be around. You never knew what she was going to talk about next, always had a story. Miss you dearly. Was so hard to watch the video and believe that this was real. I can’t even imagine what the family is feeling so I send my prayers for comfort during this time. Heaven for sure gained an angel and she’s in a much better place and having more fun than we are!.

Aunt Mary will always be a bright light of positivity and wisdom. She was such a huge support for me during the challenges I endured with my son Mitchell. I love you Aunt Mary and thank you for always being such a blessing in my life.

Mary Lee (that's what the cousins always called her) was one of my many older cousins I grew up around. She was part of the cooler older set who alternately tolerated and took care of or dismissed the younger tribe of little kids. I was amazed when Mary Lee became a married teenager and then teenage mother...who was this rebel spirit? Maybe I never really found out but as I got older I have learned to appreciate the unexpected and to appreciate the individuality of every one of my cousins. Mary Lee and I reconnected through shared grief in each of us losing a son around the same time. I loved her wry sense of humor and truly kind and loving spirit. My deepest condolences are sent to Mary Anne and Jody and all your kids.

On this beautiful sunny day in Juneau, I am thinking about how my lovely sister loved the mountains and ocean, birds, bears, and glaciers of Southeast Alaska.. She was a gentle soul who brought the beauty of her being into anyplace graced by her presence. I am so grateful she got to spend those years in this glorious place.
