Mattie Margaret White

November 24, 1941 ~ April 18, 2018 (age 76)

Word has been received of the death of Mattie Margaret White, 76, of Lawton, Oklahoma.

Mattie died peacefully in her sleep on April 18, 2018 at her home in Lawton, OK.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Mattie's life on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m at her home.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Mattie was born November 24, 1941 to Jessie and Ethel (Parker) Smith in Crowley, TX. She was an LPN and worked 30 years at Southwestern Medical Center in the operating room.  Additionally, she worked at the Surgery Center in Lawton before her full retirement.
Family and friends were important to Mattie and she enjoyed cooking for them on holidays.  Mattie was best known for her Christmas basket of baked goodies she would bake for them as gifts.  Later on, Mattie would enjoy sharing yummy recipes she found on Pintrest and cooking shows.  
She was a selfless person and believed in family taking care of family no matter the circumstance.  She opened her home to her grown children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Everyone was loved and had a special place in her heart. She enjoyed playing pool in her earlier years and was quite the pool shark!  She also enjoyed fishing with her grandchildren, working in her flowerbeds, and always had a manicured lawn. 
She was known for her kind heart, bright eyes, easy smile, and soft cheeks.   
She is survived by children, James Hartline Jr. of Las Cruces, NM, John Hartline, of Oklahoma City, OK, Regina Lyle and Adam Hartle, of Geronimo, OK, Russell White, of Lawton, OK, Christopher and wife, Ronda, of Rindge, NH, Lisa Nickell and Ronnie Foggy, of Lawton, OK; her sister, Sue Haney of Janesville, Wisconsin; her grandchildren and spouses, Daniel and Megan Reeves, William Reeves, Chris and Jessica Lyle, Graeson Hartline, Samantha Hartline, Caitlin and Joey Hartline-Torres, Angeline Hartline, Ashlee Nickell, Braydon Nickell, Madison White, Ryder Betterton, Brandi and Kendall Jirtle, Matthew Hartle, Madison Hartle, her great grandchildren, Aubree Reeves, Natalee Fraser, Aust'n Reeves, Chloe Reeves, Brystal Reeves, Mya Nickell-Dixon, Remy-Lee Nickell-Short, Bently Nickell, Temperance Torres, Preston Jirtle, Payton Spencer, and Pryor Jirtle; and numerous nieces and nephews who were all like her own children.   

Mattie is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: James Hartline, Sr. and Ron White; her son, Jeff Hartline; her son in law, Robert Lyle; her daughter in law, Anna Sloan-Hartline; her brothers, Eddie, Darrell and Jessie Smith Jr.; her sisters, Edna Madison and Patsy Pearson; her granddaughter, Rebecca Lyle; and her granddaughter in law, Lacey Lyle.
