Mike was born September 1, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX to Frank Lee Berry and Dorthie Nell (Crossland) Berry Moddie.   He grew up in Grandfield and graduated from Grandfield High School in 1968.  Mike married Shauna Sue Davidson on July 19, 1970 in Grandfield, OK.  They raised their three daughters in Burkburnett, TX and lived there until 2004.  They lived a brief stint in Sunset, TX before returning to the area to live in Devol, OK in 2012, where they have made their home. Mike worked for Carroll Fertilizer, Siemen's, and ABB Control, where he retired in 2010.  Mike could build and design just about anything with metal. He worked hard everyday of his life and loved to help others however he could.  If Mike wasn't working, he was talking.  He might not have remembered your name, but don't take offense to that, he couldn't remember his babies' names either.  You may have been Sissy, like his daughters, or Bud, but his love for all was genuine!

He is survived by his wife Shauna Sue Berry of the home; three daughters, Renee Henslee of Haslet, TX, Robin Amos and her husband, Bill of Burkburnett, TX; Lindsey Thompson and her husband, Derek of Burkburnett, TX; one brother Everett Wayne Moddie and his wife, Stacey of Burlington, KS; one sister Angie Brown and her husband, Larry of Vernon, TX; and six grandchildren Conner and Cason Henslee; Brady Amos; and Tyse, Tylee, and Taytum Thompson.

Mike was preceded in death by  his father, Frank Lee Berry, and his mother, Dorthie Nell Moddie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Devol First Baptist Church, 900 N. Wichita St., Devol, Oklahoma.
