Nathan Lee Hill

Nathan was born on May 8, 1938 in Park Rapids, MN to John A. and Adelia L. (Jarvis) Hill. In 1955, the family moved to Mineral Wells, Texas where he graduated from high school. He then went to work for the historic Baker Hotel. He came to Lawton in 1957 and worked odd jobs until April of 1959 and then moved to Pueblo, CO and worked in the steel mill until 1961. He met Lorraine "Goldie" Hill and they married in January of 1962 in Redlands, California, moving to Lawton in 1963. Mrs. Hill passed away on December 5, 2015. Of this marriage, they had four sons, Nathan, Jr, Edsel, Russell and Randy and two daughters, Nikki and Laura. Nathan worked odd jobs until 1968 when he began working for Meads Bakery which became Farm Fresh Bakery and he worked there until 1999. Nathan was a Scout Master for the Boy Scout Troop and assisted Goldie with her Girl Scouts. He was also a bus driver for Bishop School until 1989. He was active in square dancing and a member of the SouthSide Baptist Church and later became a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved outdoor activities.

Nathan is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Nathan Jr. and Jerrie Hill of Blair; Edsel Hill, of Sayre, OK, Russell and Marie Hill, and Randy and Kerry Hill, of Lawton, OK; daughters and sons in law, Nikki and Rondo Winters, of Rexburg, ID and Laura and Scott Bennett, of Lawton OK; his brothers and sisters in law, Lee Hill, of Lawton, OK and Ricky and Nora Hill, of Frederick, OK and Orin Hill, of Lawton, OK, Orvil Hill, of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Ronald and Bessie Hill, of Frederick, OK; sisters, Brenda Skinner, of Lawton, OK, Rhonda and Rick Harper, of Fredrick, OK and Rosemary Ramirez, Altus, OK; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine Hill; his sister, Flora Crump; and his grandson, James Hill.
