Patricia (Wright) Hall

Lloyd and Georgia Wright welcomed their second beautiful baby girl, Patricia Wright, on January 31, 1943.  Patricia and Betty Kay were the closest of sisters and lifelong friends.  The Wright family was complete when seven years later John Allan (“Johnny”) was born.  Patricia was a perfect big sister and fell in love with her new baby brother.

Family meant everything to Patricia, and her nurturing ways led her to begin her own family at only sixteen.  She was blessed with her firstborn and what she always said her most beautiful baby, Jerry Lynn.  She loved being a mother or what she called “playing house.”  It was not long until she had her dark-haired, dark-eyed girl Teresa.  Then to her surprise, came Sheryl Ann who, with her blonde hair, green eyes and giving spirit, many would say was just like Patricia.  But wait, God knew she needed one more precious boy, Billy Joe, everyone’s baby and still so today.

Patricia loved being a housewife, taking care of her babies and attending church.  Her happiest days always included family and friends.  She was a natural caretaker and cared for her parents and the love of her life, Jimmie Joe, until each took their last breath.

Her family circle includes her children, Teresa and Jimmie Russell, Sheryl and her late husband Bobby Langford, and Billy Houston.  Her grandchildren, Miranda (Russell) Calhoun, Justin Houston and Shayden Houston.  One special great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Mae Calhoun.  Two nephews, Steve Lemons and Jimmy Lemons.  Two nieces, Pamela (Lemons) Sherman and Lindsey (Wright) Jensen. And, many more loved ones.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Joe Russell, her parents, her brother and sister, her son Jerry Crosby and nephew Dustin Wright.  Patricia loved and mourned all of these losses and was called to join them all in Heaven on July 4, 2022.  Her children, grandchildren and surviving family will always miss her but will keep the family circle together always. 

The family is hosting a memorial celebration at the family home on July 16 at 8 p.m., 729 Sullivan Drive, Lawton.
