Patricia Ann Peters

Funeral service for Patricia Peters, 80 of Lawton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Steven Hill officiating.

Ms. Peters passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in Lawton. 

Patricia was born on October 25, 1936 in rural Comanche County to Juanita Peters. She worked for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for over 40 years, and also worked with the Child Care Food Program. She was a people person who loved feeding birds, taking care of plants and animals, reading, and collecting thimbles. Patricia was a member of the Midwest Church of Christ.

She is survived by her cousins: Glenna Melkus, of Larned, KS, Connie and her husband Gary Wise, of Woodward, OK, Vicki and her husband Tom Johansen, of Stillwater, OK, Allan Engle and his wife, Carol of Hutchinson, KS and David Engle of Freedom, OK,  Myrna Peters of Marlow, OK, Jimmy Peters, of Tuttle, OK, Robert Garrison, Lloyd Garrison, Dale Peters, and Jimmy Don Peters, all of Duncan, OK,  She also leaves behind many other family members, friends, and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Peters, and her grandparents, Clyde and Lottie Peters.

In lieu of flowers: memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Oklahoma Medical Research Fund at 825 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
