Patricia "Trish" Lee Garrett

Funeral service for Patricia "Trish" Lee Garrett, 68, of Lawton, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a special visitation for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

Mrs. Garrett passed away at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at her home in Lawton.  

Patricia was born on October 5, 1954 in Wichita Falls, Texas to John David and Alice Jewell (Doss) Hollis. She was raised in Wichita Falls for many years and graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She also attended Cameron University, graduating in 1998 to become a teacher specializing in early childhood education. Patrica worked as a teacher for 22 years in the Lawton school systems, primarily at Douglass and Edison Elementary Schools. She was happily married to Richard Garrett on May 5, 1999. She was a professed believer in Christ and God the Father and held strong to her love for God all her life. Her focus on family and her school children was her predominate passion, especially her grandchildren. She loved old western movies, crime shows, and frequent weekend trips out sightseeing and visiting family. She will be missed by many friends and family members.     

She is survived her husband, Richard James Garrett and her sons Allan Leon Jones and wife Rosselyn, grandchildren Branden, Shania, Grace, and Beverly. Eric Hollis Jones and grandchildren Selah & Seth Jones.  Stepdaughters Shelly (Andre) Johnson and grandchildren Veronica (Bryan) & great-granddaughter Mya, Tori, Kobe. Cherissa (Kevin) Smith, and grandchildren Shelby (Angelo), Justin, and Katlyn; great-grandson Angelo Ortega. Stepson Christopher (Jennifer) Garrett & grandchildren Kaylee (Christian), Shayna, Taylor. Matthew Wayne & Tawnie Garrett & grandchildren Shaiyann (Christian) Harjo & Brysson Davey. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her siblings Billadee Lybrook Mayfield, David H. Hollis, and Debra Gayle Hollis. She was so proceeded by Aubrey & Etola Garrett, brother-in-law Wayne Garrett, sister-in-law Dolores York, and grandchild Tyler Garrett.
