Paul David Bergmann

Memorial service for Paul David Bergmann, 60 of Lacey Spring, AL will be at 2:00 p.m. on  Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Vivian Garza officiating.

Paul David was born on September 27, 1958 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Paul and Oleta (Burk) Bergmann. His father was in the military and the family lived in several locations including Oklahoma, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, and Germany over a span of 20 years.

Paul David met and married Stephanie Madison, of Alabama, and to that union a son, Aaron Bergmann, was born. After his parent’s divorce, he came back to Lawton in 1976. Paul worked many jobs throughout his life, working for Monte Wyatt Harvesting for two summers, working for Taylor & Wigington as a carpenter, and as a framer on the Wolfe Creek Medical Center. In 1986, he moved to Madison Alabama and built a log home for Stephanie’s mother and father. He worked for Lee Builders in Huntsville, Alabama for 18 years as a supervisor, receiving two awards on large projects he worked on. Paul also did many jobs for the Mayor of Huntsville.

Paul passed away on February 20, 2019 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

He loved fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his son Aaron and his faithful companion, his dog Bray.

He is survived by his mother, Oleta Dean, of Lawton; his son, Aaron Bergmann, of Huntsville, AL; his nephew Michael Calloway, or Newalla, OK; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Bergmann, his stepfather, Paul Dean; his sister, Tammy Calloway; and his beloved dog Bray.
