Pauline "Paula" Frabotta

April 5, 1930 ~ January 30, 2024 (age 93) 93 Years Old


Funeral service for Pauline "Paula" Frabotta, 93, of Lawton, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Carriage Hills Christian Church with pastor Terry Marsh officiating. 

Burial will follow at The Post Cemetery on Fort Sill, Oklahoma. 

Mrs. Frabotta passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Lawton. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. 

Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Paula was born on April 5, 1930 in Orsenhausen, Germany to Karl and Paula (Koelle) Danner. She grew up in Germany during the time of the war. As a child, she made socks for Soldiers on the Eastern Front during the war. Her family took in a refugee family that became lifelong friends. She met Frank Anthony Frabotta and they married on September 4, 1957. They traveled with Mr. Frabotta's military career living in Germany, Washington State, Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Doylestown, Pennsylvania where the family settled for several years. Once their children were grown and had families of their own, she and Frank  moved to Cañon City, Colorado and they later made their final move to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1994. Paula enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She was a wonderful mother and made sure that her family was well cared for. She was also a very proud citizen of the United States.

She is survived by her son,  Samuel Frabotta of Hallam, PA; her daughter, Claudia Ragsdale of Lawton; her grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah Frabotta, Patricia and David Rodriguez, Tanya and Joshua Anderson, Kevin and Valerie Koeshartono, Winona and Danny Wilson, Cara Mangold, Ian Mangold and Lena Albanese, Ryan and Chelsy Ragsdale, and Kaycie and Braylen Rogers; 13 great grandchildren; and her nieces, Brigitte and Gabriella.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Frank Anthony Frabotta; her daughter, Jennie Mangold; and her grandson, Karl Christian Mangold; her sister, Gertrude Braig; and her nephew, Rainer Braig.
