Redgiel "Reggie" C (Jr) Brown

Memorial service for Redgiel " Reggie" C. Brown Jr., 72, of Lawton, OK will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.  Pastor Jim Roberts will officiate. 

Mr. Brown passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Redgiel was born on April 15,1946 in Pampa, TX to Redgiel C. Brown Sr. and Margie (Owens) Brown.  Redgiel grew up and went to school in Pampa, TX.  In 1971 he joined the United Stated Army. He served his country honorably for more than 22 years.  During that time he had numerous assignments and was stationed for most of his career either at Fort Sill, OK or in Germany.   In 1993 he retired from his last duty station at Downs Barracks in Fulda, Germany.  He loved Germany and upon his retirement he continued to live in Germany.  While living in Germany he worked for 15 years as a machinist.  In 2008 Redgiel returned to live in Lawton, OK.  In his younger days he liked to downhill ski.  During his leisure time he enjoyed drawing, painting, reading the Bible and watching John Wayne movies.  

He is survived by his son James "Adam" Brown Sr. of New Castle, IN.  His daughter, Sara Brown-Taliaferro and her husband Ricky of Lawton, OK. His sisters, Bonnie Imel of Pampa, TX and Barbara Linn of Barnsdall,OK.  His grandchildren: Ericca Brown of Las Vegas, NV; James A. Brown Jr. of South Bend, IN; Jesse Brown of South Bend, IN; Shane Taliaferro and his wife Malynda of Sterling, OK and Tanner Taliaferro and his wife JJ of Elgin, OK.  His great grandchildren: Lillyanna Neely of Las Vegas, NV; Hunter, Hayden, Haylee and Holden Taliaferro of Sterling, OK and Lilly and Colt Taliaferro of Elgin, OK.  His Aunt Joyce Rasco of Pampa, TX.  His Uncle Charles Owens of Dallas, TX.   He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughters: Brianna and Alexandra Brown-Jones.
