Funeral service for Richard "Dick" Matthew Burns, Sr, 42, of Lawton will be on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Rocky White officiating.
Richard passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Lawton.
Dick was born on August 7, 1976, in Augsburg, Germany to Terry Terrell. He grew up in North Carolina and Lawton where he attended school. He served in the United States Navy and then began his career as a tattoo and piercing artist. He owned and operated several studios including Pleasurable Pain, Ace in The Hole, and more recently Central Ink. He married Erika Poole and she passed away and then later married Kristina Burris in 2010. Dick was an avid collector and enjoyed glass blowing, riding his Harley and loved video games. Richard was a generous man who was willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by two sons, Gavin Paul Burns and Jayden Dillon Pihl; six daughters, Amianne India Burns, Maree Alexandra Burns, Kathryne Renee Pihl, Leanna Marie Wright, and Riley Jane Burns; two brothers and a sister in law, Stephen and Maria Burns, of Lawton and Tyler Terrell, of Lawton; three sisters and a brother in law, Shayna and Hector "Tato" Rivera, of Lawton, Ariel Collins of California, and Lois Banfield, of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews, Dylan, Blaze, and Stephen Burns, Jr., Audrey Terrell, and Isaac and Caleb Rivera; his former spouse, Kristina Burns, of Lawton; his tattoo family; and a host of other loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Terry Terrell and his son, Richard Matthew Burns, Jr.
