Richard "Rick" Schippnick

Funeral service for Richard "Rick" Schippnick, 66, of Altus, Oklahoma will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton, Oklahoma.  

Mr. Schippnick passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Burial will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma. 

Viewing will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Richard was born on August 7, 1955 in Lynwood, California to Ernest and Nancy (Spencer) Schippnick. He grew up in California where he attended school. After high school, Richard joined the United States Air Force on January 15, 1974 and served his country for over 20 years before retiring on June 30, 1994 with the rank of Tech SGT. He then worked for the Department of Defense and retired in 2021. Richard married Rominita Cagas on December 5, 2018 in Lawton  and they lived in Altus. Rick enjoyed buying storage lockers for resell both online and in person.   

He is survived by his wife, Rominita "Nitz", of the home; his daughter, Jason "Ten" Schippnick, of Altus, OK; his brother, Paul Schippnick, of California; his sister and brother in law, Violet and Gerald Nicklin, of Texas; four grandchildren, Morgan Schippnick, Carson Schippnick, Violet Schippnick, and Samuel Schippnick; and his niece, Danelle Sullivan. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.
