Richard (Ricky) Lynn Nixon, 57, of Grandfield, OK passed away on January 30, 2019 at his home in Grandfield, Oklahoma.

He was born on August 14, 1961 to Richard Lee and Sandy (Landrum) Nixon in Wichita Falls, Texas.  Ricky grew up Burkburnett, Texas, attended school there and graduated from high school in 1979.  During high school, he worked at Dicks Service Station.  Following graduation, he worked for Town and Country Mobile Homes before starting to work at CertainTeed Manufacturing, in March 1981.  He worked there until December 31, 2008, and went to work for the Kingdom of Bahrain as a supervisor from Feb. 2009 to Sept. 2010.  He also worked at Texhoma Builders and Pratt & Whitney.

He married Leah Deanne Motley on January 22, 1995, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Ricky was an avid fan of the University of Texas Longhorns. He enjoyed playing the guitar and loved old-time rock and roll and country and western music.  He loved playing golf, fishing, playing racquetball and most any type of sport.  He liked watching John Wayne and Western movies and shows.  Above all, he loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Devol First Baptist Church, was a believer of God and Jesus Christ.  He also loved the Women at the Well Sunday School Class.
He is survived by wife, Leah, of the home; his mother, Sandy Harris, Wichita Falls, TX; two brothers, Mark Nixon and husband, Jeff Manthei, Fort Worth, TX and P. J. Nixon, Burburnett, TX; 2 daughters, Kelsey Trevino and husband, Tony, of Federal Heights, CO, and Amber Stratton and Sean Hopkins of, Randlett, OK; son, Adam Jordan and Maria Murillo, Wichita Falls, TX; 2 granddaughters, Maleese Mann and Madyson Thompson; grandson, Mayson Thompson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David Motley and wife, Debra; Sharel Glandon and Loyd Taylor; nephews and nieces: Nick Nixon, Meagan Nixon and Taylor Nixon, Ashley and Kalep Glandon, Hannah and Suzie Taylor; great-nieces, Madilyn and Piper Nixon and Kylah Venerable. 
He was preceded by his father, Richard Lee Nixon; paternal grandparents: Minyard and Cecilia Nixon; and maternal grandparents: Sylvester and Marie Landrum.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Gray Funeral Home in Grandfield, OK.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Devol First Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Cardwell, pastor, officiating. Burial will take place at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery.
