Word has been received of the death of Rita C. Miler, 82 of Lawton.
Mrs. Miller passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Lawton.
No services are planned at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Rita was born on July 29, 1935 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Walter Henthorn and Thelma (McGinnis) Ault. She lived in West Virginia until she was 9 years old when they moved to California where she graduated high school. She worked for a while as a lab tech and later in retail. She married Nelson Miller in Las Vegas and they lived in Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa. Mr. Miller passed away in 2004 and Mrs. Miller returned to Lawton. She attended First Baptist West.
She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Sheryl and Randy Heidler and Diana and Mike Ashbrook; her daughter in law, Vikki Noblitt; a special friend who was like a daughter, Lori Gee; grandchildren, Keith Oetken, Michael Tiffany Glendenning and wife, Tiffany, Mindy Parkison, Ryan Ashbrook, and Amanda Ashbrook; great grandchildren, Jessica, Breanna, Brycelyn, Delaney, Harper, Jayden, and Karsen; nieces and nephews, Ellen and Mark Wilson and Jacob Wilson, Shelby Weatherman, and Kristin Weatherman.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her grandmother, Lucy McGinnis; her husband; her son, Mike Noblitt; and her sister and brother in law, Lois and Jack Weatherman.
