Robert E. Carroll

Word has been received of the death of Robert E. Carroll, 74 of Lawton. 

Inurnment will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.

Mr. Carroll passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2019 in Snyder, Oklahoma. 

No services are planned at this time. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Robert was born on November 30, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Harold  and Esther (Klippert) Carroll.  He grew up in Denver where he attended school. He served in the United States Army and later worked in the construction business as a painter.  He married Mercedes Loraine Sherwood on June 1, 1988. She passed away on July 10, 2013. 

He is survived by two sisters and brothers in law, Jeanne and Charles DeBroder, and Mary Anne  and Ted Bolas, all of Lakewood, CO; his sister in law, Lee Elder, of Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mercedes Carroll.
