Funeral service for Roseline E Burk, 75 of Lawton, will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Ernest Torres officiating.
Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma.
A special viewing and visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
Mrs. Burk passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Lawton.
She was born on August 29, 1942 in Waiakoa Kula Maui, HI to Edward and Mary Poepoe. She met her first husband, CW2 (RET) Woodfin D. Blair, while he was stationed in Hawaii. They were married on November 6, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The family settled at his last duty station in Lawton/Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
Emma worked as a Civil Servant from 1975 until her retirement in 2004. She began working at the Post Laundry. She then transferred to the Commissary where she retired as a Commissary Supervisor. She enjoyed bowling traveling, crossword puzzles, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On March 14, 2018, Emma married her current husband, CSM (RET) Maxie L. Burk. They enjoyed going to the bowling alley on Friday nights, getting their morning coffee everyday with her dog, Makena, while listening to Willie's Roadhouse on the radio. Most of all, they loved to spend their time planning their future adventures together.
Emma will always be known for her beautiful smile.
She is survived by her husband Maxie L. Burk, of the home; her son, Woodfin D. Blair, Jr. of Lawton, OK; two daughters and sons-in-law: Valee Nalani and Mark Yepez of Chino, California and Tanya Haunani and Jerry Biscaino of Altus, OK; her extended family: Paul and Sylvia Burk of New Braunfels, TX, Phyllis and Robert Whitaker of New Braunfels, TX, and Greg and Julie Burk of Oklahoma City, OK; ten grandchildren: Roman S. Blair, Camron L. Blair, Katie A. Miramontes, Mark V. Yepez, Jr., Maxx W. Yepez, Valerie N. Yepez, Kaimi K. Biscaino, Kanoa K. Biscaino, Keanna K. Biscaino and Kanani K. Biscaino; a great grandson, Aydan Blair a great granddaughter, Emery Blair; a brother-in-law, William AhQuin of Provo, UT; a sister-in-law: Barbara Poepoe of Kanehoe, HI. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Woody Blair; four brothers: Joseph (Bolo) Poepoe, Robert Poepoe, Herbert Poepoe, and Edward Poepoe, Jr; and a sister, Mabel Lani AhQuin.
