Setsuko Albertson

Word has been received of the passing of Setsuko Albertson, 77, of Lawton. 

Ms. Albertson passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 in Lawton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Setsuko was born on September 10, 1946 in Okinawa, Japan to Matsusuke and Ushi Takaesu. She grew up in Okinawa where she attended school. She met a young military soldier, Steven John Albertson and they were married on December 1, 1969 and to that union three daughters were born. In 1971, they came to the United States, Minneapolis, Minnesota and to Lawton in 1976. They later lived in Germany and Kansas, returning to the Lawton/Fort Sill area in 1986. Setsuko worked for a while at Haggar Slacks and later worked at Warner Jewelry Case Company for many years before retiring in the early 2000's. Setsuko enjoyed baking, gardening, traveling and sightseeing. 

She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Theresa Aubrey, Lynn and Kyle Crockett and Patricia and David Reed, all of Lawton, OK; her grandchildren and spouses, Sydney and Alex Moore, Tessa and Shelby Gallagher, Braedon Price, Evan Aubrey, and Taylor Ann Aubrey; two sisters and many nieces and nephews, all of Japan. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and a sister, all of Japan; and her son in law, Todd Aubrey, of Lawton.
