Memorial service for Steven Earl Price, 72, of Lawton will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Lawton Ritter Gray Chapel with Pastor Jim Roberts officiating.
Interment will follow the service at 2 pm at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
Mr. Price passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 in Lawton.
Steven was born on May 8, 1947 in Wabasha, Minnesota to Curtis A. and June (Humphrey) Price. In 1966 he enlisted in the Marine Corp and proudly served his country until 1970. During this time, he received numerous awards including the National Defense Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Action Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Pistol Sharpshooters Badge/Rifle Marksmanship Badge. Steve spent most of his adult life in Missouri before moving to Lawton to help care for his mother. While living in Lawton, Steve was an entrepreneur who succeeded in multiple disciplines. Steve loved fishing and dreamed of living in his RV on the lake. He was a film and music collector, amassing thousands of titles which he meticulously cataloged. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his closest friends who he considered family. He loved being a Marine, and adored children. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Steve is survived by his brother, Donald Price, his longtime friend and companion Nancy Shattuck, and close friends Lori and Jeff Stephens, George Harrington, Peter Smeltzer, Austin Camp, Starky Davila, and Bernard and Eugene Bookman.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and June Price.
