Funeral service for Terri D. Calhoun, 65, of Duncan, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cache. Pastor Les Banks will officiate.
Burial will be at the Cache cemetery under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Terri was born in Fort Monmouth, NJ on October 23, 1952 to Royse and Sheila Samples. Due to her father’s military service and later his teaching career; the family moved frequently. Terri graduated from Grandfield high school in 1970. She married her first husband, Jack Cochnauer in Grandfield OK in 1971; Jack and Terri had two children. Terri married Danny Calhoun in 1985 and had one child. Terri worked for the Goodyear rubber and tire Company for fifteen years. She was a resident of Indiahoma, OK for thirty years. Terri loved flowers and gardening however the greatest joy of her life was her grandchildren; she especially loved attending their sporting events. She also enjoyed watching the NBA on television. Terri was a very kind hearted woman and she never met a stranger.
She is survived by her parents: Royse and Sheila Samples of Cache, OK; son and daughter in law: Jackie and Marijane Cochnauer of Farmington, MN; daughters and son in law: Amy Goad, Kristen and Brandon Foss, all of Duncan; sisters and brothers in law: Marla and James White of Holsey Acres, OK and Loretta and Terry VanBuren of Cache, OK; grandchildren: Aaron, Ty, Jake, Zach and Ella Cochnauer all of Farmington, MN, Zane and Tyler Goad-Snider of Duncan, Morgan, Corbi, Lakyn and Brekyn Foss all of Duncan, OK. She also leaves behind numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Jack Cochnauer, her grandmother: Eddie Mae “Big” Grant, two uncles and one aunt.
